COMPANY HISTORY

The Modelmasters story actually starts in September 1975, when the owner Mr Robin Stanbury first met the UK representatives for Fleischmann model railways at one of their dealer training courses in Bristol. Enthusiasm for the hobby resulted in the construction of a huge N gauge railway layout in the Grand Panorama hotel in Weston super Mare. This proved to become the first of many layouts constructed for clients using the standard proprietary kits and models from the leading manufacturers of Europe. The use and experience gained in working with these model, kits and accessories over a long period had been the basis of the current collection of models offered for sale in the Modelmasters shop.
